Seatig Managing Director Wei Zhao Won 2012 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award

This year's Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business top awards were presented to Norman Mineta, former Secretary of Transportation under President George W. Bush, who received the "Lifetime Achievement Award" and Dinesh C. Paliwal, Chairman, President and CEO of Harman International Industries, Inc. who received the "Pinnacle Award". The presentation of the award took place at the Gala Award Dinner on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall Street, New York City. Malcolm A. Smith, New York State Senator, and John C. Liu, New York City Controller were the top awards presenters. The Gala Award Dinner has become one of the most prestigious awards in the Asian American business community.

This annual event which is organized by the Asian American Business Development Center, marked the 11th anniversary of the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award, have cumulatively honored more than 500 successful Asian American women and men from multiple ethnic backgrounds, representing over 50 industries and professions. It continues to be the only forum to highlight the achievements of Asian Americans across the United States. The award recipients represent a microcosm of the elite Asian American business owners, professionals, and corporate executives who are engaged in a wide range of business interests. The award committee identifies and selects individuals with outstanding leadership, vision, and accomplishments who have built a successful business or who have distinguished themselves in their community.

Wei Zhao, Seatig’s Managing Director, has won this award for her outstanding performance in business, her contribution to the community of outsourcing services in financial industry, and her services to the cross-boarder business community between the US and China.
